Today as I post this blog article there are 30,015 Mitt Romney supporters who feel good about their participation and vote in the Iowa caucus. Why? Because their candidate won the Iowa caucus. In contrast, no matter how much the media crows about Rick Santorum’s 2nd place vote finish of 30,007 it was a political loss. 9 votes short of victory.

Recently, I had a telephone discussion with a same-sex marriage advocate about the Marriage Protection Act of 2011 (H.R.875). She asked me a lot of questions on why the American Christian Lobbyists Association (The ACLA) supports this bill and for our organizations position on homosexuality. Currently, there is a little known U.S. House Concurrent Resolution known as H.CON.RES.13 which would would Reaffirm "In God We Trust" as the official motto of the United States and would support and encourage the public display of the national motto in all public buildings, public schools, and other government institutions.
